WALKING.
These Pictures were all taken when I was on one of the many treks around Strandhill.
There
are breathtaking views and every walk offers something different that will suit everybody’s taste.
Starting from The STRAND
BAR (Best pint of Guinness in Sligo) and heading down the Prom passing the famous CANNON, Trek off down the beach with lovely
views of the surfers in the sea and the Dunes to the left (Nice Photo).
As you walk approximately one mile you will round
the bay and have the Seals swim near you and they are always curious. Rounding the POINT You will get a sensational view of
KNOCKNARAE mountain (See PHOTOS). Then pass through the SHELLY Valley (The More energetic can roll down the high Dunes. Back
to the beach and finish back where you started. All in all A three mile walk taking in Surfers, Seals, Lovely Seascapes, Mountains
and beautiful Bays. And your just in time for some traditional music in THE STRAND at the roaring stone fireplace with you
pint of the black.
Strandhill is located on the Western Atlantic coast of Ireland. It Boasts some of the best surfing
conditions in the World.
Strandhill is a thriving town located 5 miles from Sligo Town, (Irelands Gateway to the west).
The Strand Bar is Located next to some of the Best Surfing Beaches in Europe!!
On the Strand Promenade their is:
Amusement
Arcades.
Bellavista Pizza.
Newsagent sweet shop, postcards and Ice cream.
and of course The Surf Beaches!!!
Strandhill
